I have a client who uses Options Xpress for his options trading. Options Trading PUTS and CALLS are not included on the 1099-B forms. A Year End Supplemental Report provides Option Purchases and Option Sales. In comparing Sales against Purchases we have a Gain or a Loss on each PUT and on each CALL. Other than that the transaction type is not described. Are these included in Schedule D as ordinary trader (non-business) transactions in the same way as equity transactions are reported? Are there other forms that must be used?
